Posted at 3/16/2012Berkeley Preparatory School seeks a part-time Mandarin Chinese teacher for the 2012-2013 school year.   The position will involve teaching Mandarin at the Middle School level. The ideal candidate will be a native speaker or a non-native who has studied and travelled extensively in China. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. The school seeks someone with the following characteristics:
1.       Experience with teaching Chinese to American high school and/or middle school students
2.       Experience using technology as a tool to teach language
3.       Ability to collaborate within a diverse department of fourteen other full-time teachers, which includes Chinese and English speaking members
4.       Dynamic and engaging teaching style
